I am who I am
I’m true to be me,
But without YOU,
My me would not see.

YOU is important
In so many ways,
As YOU shine a light on me
With the sun’s bright rays.

YOU keep me honest and grounded
And afford me YOU time,
Showing me the many ways
Of truths and what’s genuine.

I awake every day
And stand on my own,
Because of all that YOU’ve done
And the courtesies YOU’ve shown.

My beliefs are all mine
Many thoughts in my head,
My actions, my words,
The YOU behaviour is led.

It’s YOU I can depend upon
Believe it — it’s true,
No phoniness, just facts
Being authentic — your life’s hack.

YOU see I’ve discovered
In my freedom to be,
In the mirror every day
The YOU I refer to is actually me!
